FAQs

  • The Middlebury Ministry Houses exist to invite Christ-loving college students into servant-filled community which will allow for a foundational volunteer base for The Vincent House’s programs.

  • Ministry House Residents will be required to serve a minimum of 6 hours per week at The Vincent House during programming hours (M-Th, 3-6pm).

  • There are two ministry houses, one for women on Eber Ave. and one for men on Buchtel Ave. These houses are located less than a mile from the University of Akron and are at the heart of Middlebury which is the neighborhood the majority of The Vincent House students live in.

  • In exchange for served hours in VH programming, residents will receive a subsidized rate of rent. At this point, the rent amount $0 but students only pay a flat rate of $100 for utilities.
